  The Hollist Arms is an excellent although unpretentious free house country pub. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. Serge is the owner and chef he provides a good choice of dishes, many influenced by home cooking traditions from the south of France and Algeria. The menu changes regularly. The main courses we had were all very good and with original touches, but the deserts - these were really memorable! There are dining and bar areas inside. Outside there is seating in a paved area with an interesting veranda and also in a pretty garden which is also partly covered. There is a short pitch for playing a ball game (Pétanque I think?). The Hollist Arms is a genuinely really nice place to eat and drink in relaxed surroundings.

  Good food and friendly service. The plain exterior belies a lovely warm and welcoming bar inside. Worth a visit!

  A great place to eat or for just a drink. Good good and you can take the dog. I love it.
